Look To God

Psalms 25:15 - My eyes are continually toward the LORD, for He will pluck my feet out of the net.

I struggle in prayer to remember that I am talking to someone. It was suggested to me years ago that I form a mental picture of God for prayer. I have found the practice helpful, but am gravely concerned that it is my own false idol. I have settled on picturing His throne with the Ark of the Covenant as the footstool.

The point I think is that we need to make ourselves conscious of the fact that in prayer we are speaking to someone, and just as we look someone in the eyes when we talk to them, so we should "turn our eyes to the Lord" when we pray. AS long as we do not confuse the image or object we use with God Hemself, I think this is a good practice.

Why not try it today as you ask the Lord to bless GBC.
